About IDSA
The IDSA is made up of an Executive Committee, Sports Directors and Committee Members. The four regional councils are affiliated to the IDSA. The role of the regional councils is to ensure that sport is maintained at local and national levels. Training, competitions and events are arranged by each regional council at regional level all year around under the auspices of the IDSA. The IDSA is responsible for ensuring that the running of all events and facilities and grounds are of standard also to provide financial guidance and assistance where necessary.
The Inter-Provincial Tournament is held every year during Easter. Each province hosts the tournament every four years, it follows a rotational pattern. The purpose of the tournament plays a vital role in international sport as it is from the tournament that players get selected to be on the panel of the Ireland Team. Currently, the sports played at the event are Men's Football, Ladies Futsal and Ladies Basketball.
