21st Deaflympics

Deaflympics > About

The 2009 Deaflympics Games opening ceremony will be held in the "Taipei Municipal" Stadium in Taipei.

10,708 athletes from 205 National Olympic Teams will compete in 28 sports. The Deaflympics Village will officially welcome the first Irish Deaf Team Members on the 31st August 2009.

The Opening ceremony will take place on the 5th August and the Closing Ceremony 10 days later on the 15th August 2009.
